What We Believe

We bear faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.

Our Mission at The Church at Cahaba Bend

Finding a church fitting your needs can be a difficult task.  Cahaba Bend makes this process easier by creating an environment that's reverent, relaxed, relational and relevant.  Our goals are to honor God and help you feel at home.  Whether it's a Sunday morning worship or a chili supper, our desire is for you to draw closer to God, the Body of Christ, and help you find a place to serve in God's world.

Connect with the Body of Christ

Connecting with others is a vital part of the lives of Christ-followers.  After all, Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.  Cahaba Bend is a place of friendship and family which quickly welcomes new faces with open arms.  But seeing is believing — come experience it for yourself on a Sunday morning at 10am for worship or with one of our small groups at 9am and on Wednesday at 6pm.

Commit to a Life with Christ

Committing to a life with Christ is at the heart of what it means to be a Christian.  At The Church at Cahaba Bend, we strive to help people find ways to fully love the Lord with their heart, soul, mind and strength.  Let us help you find a way to commit to a life with Christ by connecting together.

Be the Church in the World

Being the Church in the world is vital to being a whole-hearted follower of Jesus.  When we show others Christ's love through our actions, we are part of Christ's Kingdom on earth.  As United Methodists, we are part of a vital connection across the country and around the world.  We are the hands and feet of Christ locally through Oak Mountain Mission Ministries and globally through Costa Rica Mission Projects. The Church at Cahaba Bend also sends mission teams for disaster reponse and to Birmingham-based missions such as Urban Ministries. Check out our SERVE page for more details.
